Roquetas
de Mar is situated 20 km east of Almerimar.
On your way to Roquetas de Mar you will pass
intensive agriculture. At Cliso it is possible
to get a two hour guided tour in the different
used techniques of culture. The tour is ending
with a tasting of vegetables that will vary
based on the time of year.
At your right side you will have view to
Punta Entinas-Sabinar Nature Reserve and unspoilt
beaches. The salt lagoons are a good place
to watch flamingos and other water birds in
just about every season.
Roquetas de Mar Urbanicacion is the first
part of Roquetas de Mar you will reach. This
is a popular resort area for tourists with
lots of hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and
a golf course, all right beside the beach.
These beaches are very equipped and located
next to a great city-planning complex. Which
are supplies for the leisure, something saturated
during the summer but very calm time the rest
of the year and in perfect conditions.
Playa Serena and Pasero del Mar goes along
the coast, and a very pleasant the Bajadilla
Beach are some of beaches that have a high
degree of equipment and occupation. All beaches
samples 80meters wide of dark and considered
beige sand.
The beaches of Roquetas de Mar stretch over
several kilometres. There are several lifeguards
and the beaches are kept very clean.
The Castle of Santa Ana or The Roquetas has
become, since outside inaugurated in May of
2003, a great centre of attention of Roquetas
de Mar.
The castle counts exhibition halls in which
paintings and photos are usually shown. The
inner patio, of great beauty, is usually the
place of sculptures and concerts, especially

the Light Tower (El Faro) and the "Anfiteatro".
El Puerto de Roquetas is still an important
fishing sector. It altso houses private homes,
bars and restaurants with the freshest products
of the sea.
The fishing sector is now centred in the
self-supplying of the municipality and other
localities of the province, but it still has
great fame by the quality. The Port has also
a zone for sport boats, around Club Nautical.
The Port of Roquetas counts also a magnificent
beach "Playa de la Romanilla" with
walking street and restaurants.
The Bullring is one of most modern of Spain.
It is not only the enclosure where to have
bullfighting but are also used for concerts.
In the outer ringe of the bullring, s one
of the best supplies of leisure in the province.
It can house around 8000 people. The Seat
are close to restaurants, bars of glasses
and other commerce that makes it a unique
place as far as Bullrings.
Gran Plaza, is a large shopping centre with
Eroski supermarket, Leroy Merlin, Boulanger,
PC World, a number of UK fasion shops, restaurants
and much more, with plenty of underground
parking.
On the top level you find toilets, bowling,
cinemas and more restaurants.
Gran Plaza is open 7 days a week including
fiesta days, from first of July to mid September.
Auditorio
Theatre counts 1300 spectators with ample
comfort and cover of services, like reception,
wardrobe, day-care centre, press room, cafeteria,
16 dressing rooms, room of test. The theatre
is divided in three zones from where it is
possible to see and to enjoy the spectacles
completely.
A Street Market is open the first 3 Thursdays
of the month beside the Roquetas de Mar Auditorio
Theatre.
