Almerimar is located in the province of Almeria, which is a part of Andalucia in the South of Spain. To get there you probably need both a flight and transportation from the airport to the apartment, so we have provided you with some information about Airports & Flights, Buses, Taxi and Car Rental.

• Airports & Flights

For easy access to Almerimar, choose one of the following airports:

• Almeria Airport (LEI) * with 50 km to Almerimar, approx 25 mins.
• Malaga Airport (AGP) with 182 km to Almerimar, approx 2 1/2 hour.
• Murcia - San Javier Airport (MJV) with 247 km to Almerimar, approx 2 1/2 hour.
• Alicante Airport (ALC) with 323 km to Almerimar, approx 3 hour.

Cheap charter flights to Spain are common from many European countries, particularly Britain and Germany.

If you're unable to get a direct flight to one of the above airports in Spain, it's usually advisable to fly via London, from where there are daily flights to airports throughout Spain.

It's worth shopping around for the best price, however be warned that charter flights do tend to suffer greater delays than schedule flights. As a general rule, the further in advance you buy your ticket, the cheaper it will be. Andalucia is an easy place to fly to.

Almeria Airport is located 9 km east of the capital Almeria and 42 km east of Almerimar.

The bus "Linea 20" connects Almeria Airport (LEI) with Almeria. The fare is a very cheap EUR 0.80, and the service runs every 30-minutes on Monday-Friday and every 45-minutes on Saturdays and holidays, from 7am - 10.30 pm, in both directions. There is no provision for luggage, and airport passengers have to mix it with the locals, and stops in front of the airport terminal.

• Taxi

There are Taxis at Almeria Airport. You can find a taxi outside the airport main entrance. Taxis are white and when free, display a green light. The fare to Almerimar is about 50 Euro.

• Car Rental

Car rental in Spain is the cheapest in Europe, mainly due to the cutthroat competition. Rental companies such as Avis, Budget, Europecar, Hertz have offices in most Andalucian cities and at the major airports. However the smaller local rental companies tend to be less expensive.

When comparing rates, check that prices are fully inclusive of unlimited kilometers, insurance and taxes and that there are no hidden costs. Policy on payment for petrol varies - check the small print. Most issue cars with a full/half/empty tank and ask you to return the car the same. Others charge for a full tank and do not credit you on car return despite contend of petrol.

To rent a car in Spain you must produce a valid driver license (a copy is not acceptable). If more than one person will be driving, all the drivers' names must be included on the rental agreement. Check in advance about insurance cover for young drivers under 26 or 22. Credit Cards are used as a deposit.

It's advisable to book a rental car before arriving for getting the lowest price.
